My garden is progressivly being taken over with something that leaves silky strands like a spider web....more like guy wires. Some run from my fruit trees to the ground and others from plant to plant. I've looked and looked for eggs, larvae etc. but to no avail. Yesterday I did find one lime-green worm on the soil near a lambs ear but that was it, heel test took care of it. Any ideas as to what it is I need to look for and how to remedy the situation?

They're from spiders. Spiders leave draglines all over as they travel from one place to another.

Well, you might very well be going through a caterpillar hatch! I believe that many of the inchworm and span worms behave this way. They could be hatching from your fruit tree and using their silken lines to take them elsewhere. If you see any more of those little green caterpillars, that would be a good bet.
