Pesticide in Tincture

So I'm new to gardenweb (hello :) ) and I have a question that is a little bit.. different, for lack of a better word, pertaining to a mugwort plant that I have been growing for several months now. I recently decided to use it to make a tincture, but I neglected to wash the leaves before submerging them in alcohol. After this, I discovered that my roommate had sprayed the plant with Bonide dormant/horticultural spray. I'm wondering if anybody knows whether this might possibly, just maybe, be safe for consumption? Obviously directly consuming chemicals is not a good thing, but I'm not sure what sort of trace amounts might have remained on the leaves after they were sprayed. If anybody has words of insight please let me know!
Thanks
