Hundreds of bright orange eggs

Hi everyone this is my first post, I'm new to gardening recently collected council compost for my front garden borders mixed with current soil now 3 weeks on I have hundreds of bright orange balls I'm presuming eggs..,what are they?

They may, or may not, be eggs.
They may, or may not, be a problem.
Few insects lay eggs in compost, mostly they will be on plants, and the color does not appear to be those of slugs.

Not eggs. A fungus that's helping to degrade/decompose the dead organic stuff.
Won't damage your plants.
Ignore them.
