| Greetings: following are some pics of a worm found on my Wagener apple tree yesterday. I am wondering if anyone can positively ID it. The worm had started to wrap itself up in a very young leaf close to the branch's growing point. the worm is 1 cm long. Starting from the head and counting back toward the tail end, the first 3 segments have legs followed by 2 legless segments and then 4 legged segments. Each legged segment has 2 legs (one on each side). Hope that is enough info..
Michael
The hole is in the stem immediately adjacent to the leaf the worm was on

| Could be an Apple Leaf roller, a relatively common pest of tree fruits. |

| Thanks Rhizo: I think the apple fruittree leafroller has a black head through all instars. Still searching. Michael |
