Tiny holes in Lily leaves and red insects

I have been seeing many tiny holes in my lily leaves and solid, bright red bodied insects ( no spots) on the leaves. They are about the size of lady bugs..I cannot locate this insect on any site so far....I have used Red Hot Insect Repellent spray and Safers to keep them off the plants....What are they , are they the culprits, and any suggestions?
Thanks,
Joyce

After more research, I have found that they appear to be red lily beetles and a Neem based insecticide works on them...Any other suggestions?
