Sooty mold

I need help with sooty mold!

I know I need to control my p/s insects and keeps ants away, but is there anything I can do once I have the sooty mold?

I've tried strong streams of water and soapy water, but I have to manually rub the leaves to get the mold off, and there are too many leaves to do that. And even the rubbing doesn't seem to remove it all.

Thanks!

You're correct. Hosing, rubbing, and still some is tightly stuck.

So keep after the critters producing the honeydew.
