Keeping Wasps out of the Attic

The attic in my house has a "fake" dormer. From inside the attic, it is basically a cutout in the plywood such that a dormer (window) is on the roof for aesthetics. The attic is not finished.
Anyway, I noticed a wasp walking on the interior of the dormer window one day while outside the front of the house.
Checking out the interior of the attic, there were a few wasps inside the dormer area of the attic.
I have had a maintenance man check the exterior window(dormer) and caulk, but still saw another one inside.
Any suggestions of how to keep them outside the attic not inside? How can you find the hole that they are entering the dormer/attic area? I was told it could be very very small. Any other way than just watching from the outside to see where they are flying around?

I was told that you need to keep the attic dark so that you can see the pinholes of light coming through from the outside. Use a flashlight to see your way around. Spray a little paint on the small openings as you find them so you can fill them all at once later. Sounds logical to me!
