Leafminers in basil

Posted by Carlos_asut 10b PR (My Page) on

I have a severe attack of leafminers in my basil.
Searching the net I find two species that attack basil: Liriomyza trifolii and L. sativae but their description does not agree with the damage I observe: a brow, almost circular spot, with its center of a darker brown, looks very similar to alternaria leaf spot.
Somebody tell me it is a "blotch Leafminer," again, I can not find relevant information in the net.
Is there any way to control leafminers? Do they have any natural enemy? If so, where to get it?
Thanks
