What is this beetle?

I have found an orange beetle with huge black dots on it, similar to lady bugs but about 1/2" around. I can't find anything about it on the web. The only plants it eats are my Joe Pye Weeds.

RE: What is this beetle?

Looks kinda like the swamp milkweed leaf beetle, but am not sure that they would be found on Joy Pye weed. Take a look at the attached image and you be the judge.

What kind of damage are you observing?

Eureka! You have found it!

Thanks so much. Yes, it is only found on my Joe Pye Weed and it likes the buds and blooms, although I haven't found damage there. I have observed them gnawing the leaves, tho.
