 o
Aphids?

I found these amazing creatures on ONLY my bolted broccoli seed pods. I think they are aphids, but when i watched closely all the bugs move in sync almost rhythmically, then all stop, then repeat the process again. Similar to watching a crowd of people at any sports game doing the wave. Also, they have been in the same place for days. What are they and why are they moving like this?

Also I should note that some of the covered pods have an equally as tiny green winged bug that appears to move with them.

Any ideas?

RE: Aphids?

They do look like Aphids. The simplest method of control is a sharp spray of water to knock them off the plant. The link below may provide you with all, or more, of the information you want about Aphids.
