Another Chipmunk management idea

| I've read hundreds of posts about how to control these guys. Swimming pool of death, elecric trap, rat trap, moth balls, kitty litter, humane traps with release, the list goes on and on.
Has anyone thought of gassing them with the auto exhaust at night? Plugging up as many holes as you can see at dusk, then running one of those hoses for auto garages off the exhaust into a small reducing bushing with 1 1/2" PVC and stuff it into the hole? hello a little CO when they are already sleeping.
Good idea or not?
Let them die in the ground...no removal, no suffering, no smell... |

| Attempting that could put enough back pressure on the engine to cause damage. It is not a good idea. |

| Last year they ate everyone of my gooseberries, so I was on a mission this year. I purchased a cheap small live trap and baited it several times with peanut butter and bread and then later in the season with peach skins. Both times I immediately caught the little guys. The trap was small enought that I put it in a plastic bag and then in the freezer to kill them. |
