Squirrels eating hollyhocks, Malva

I had a groundhog problem - fenced in the whole yard and all the holes. so that is (fingers crossed) resolved hopefully!

However, now squirrels are eating my hollyhocks - they were on top of the patio table - i was away for five days and came back to find the ones that had grown back after the ghog - all the leaves were eaten! and the squirrels ate the malva leaves - some of them - from the plant in the ground.

luckily they are leaving everything else (whew!) at least for now.

so any ideas on how to keep the squirrels away?

Put out some squirrel treats, like peanuts or corn, and some water (e.g., in a birdbath).

Are you sure it's squirrels?
