My kids found this wasp on the front porch this afternoon. I didn't kill it, because I wasn't sure if it was a "good" bug or a "bad" bug. It's about 3-4" from it's head to the tip of it's "stinger".

Can anyone tell me who this guy is? He isn't in my Audubon Insect book.
