Please identify this moth

I live on Long Island, over the last few days, I have noticed several of these little guys in my family room they keep reappearing. I am vacuuming up about 10 to 12 of these a day from that room alone. I noted a couple of them on the outside of the house such as the one in the photo. Can somebody recommend what this is and how to get rid of it?
