bonsai insects/pests

I was just given my first bonsai and now I'm trying to keep it alive. Don't know if the spelling is right but I was told it is a FUKIAN TEE. I was told it is in really good bonsai soil, I am supposed to water it everyday? (seems like a lot to me). I am keeping it outside on my patio, it is only getting early morning sun.

I have had it only 4 days...when looking at it through a magnifying glass I could see these small very round dark brown-redish bugs in tiny spaces in the bark, and tiny white worms in the base of the trunk. Can anyone please tell me what I am seeing, and how can I get rid of them? Looking forward to any suggestions anyone may have.

RE: bonsai insects/pests

Correct spelling for your plant is: Fukien Tea. May I suggest that you go into the Bonsai Forum for all sorts of great help! You will find them wonderfully informative.
