Isolating a bed bug colony in my back yard

Fritzlang

I recently inherited about thirty boxes of books. They were in storage for ten years and belonged to a long lost relative. Visiting the storage unit I noticed a a couple of live bed bugs crawling on a couch that was stored with the books. I assume now that the books might very well be contaminated. Many of the books seem to be worthless and can be tossed but one that I pulled out was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn first edition worth a few thousand dollars. The storage facility is three hours from my home by car so I've been thinking either to transfer the boxes into a large tent I have for temporary storage in the back yard behind my house and there go through the boxes or bring them to another storage facility near by. My savings are low and I prefer the back yard option but I am worried that the bugs can march through my yard and somehow get into my house. Is this being paranoid?
