Tiny white millipede like worms primrose rootball crown ??

Hey , While rearranging my beds I noticed that all the primrose Japonica that I moved had these tiny long white worms that looked millipede like except they are white.
They are not grubs , they are very thin and they do curl but when disturbed they start to crawl.
I have only found them on my primrose and I was wondering if This will kill the plant ? They are probably on the other primrose that I haven't moved because so far they have shown up on everyone I did move.
Please anyone know what this is ?
It looks just like a millipede but it is smaller and white.
Thanks
Laura

Sounds like you may have wireworms. Eeek!
If your not able to read this PDF file...need acrobat reader...try another google search on wireworms.
