| So I have decided that an integral part of my garden pest management may have to be vacuuming the bugs that are not easily dealt with in other minimally toxic ways.
Here is my questions are; Has anyone else out there done this?
What type of vacuum did you use? How long/well has that vacuum held up?
I'm especially interested in how long the vacuum has lasted since my experiences with cordless hand held vac's has been that within about a year the battery doesn't hold a charge anymore and wouldn't suck up dust let alone stubborn bugs. Granted this experience is a way in the past and battery technology has probably improved but I'd like some reviews if anyone feels like sharing.
The little shop vac I'm using now works but it is awkward to handle in the garden as it takes on hand to hold the vac, the other on the hose and I'm dragging the cable and can't support plants as I go after bugs. |
