WANTED: 'May Queen' or 'Queen of May'? Nostalgic value fo me...

Hi all,

Haven't posted here before, but you all seem quite friendly and active on this forum so I thought it might be a good place to inquire.

Both my grandmother and mother raised an iris they always referred to as "May Queen" that I would love to add to my own garden. It's nothing special really, just I'm nostalgic for it; I do remember it having a nice fragrance. I googled and found this pic which is pretty much how I remember it (perhaps a little more burgundy-purple):

I do love irises, but don't have a lot; my perennial garden is mixed. I am no connoisseur, having acquired a lot of my specimens from friends, family, and garden club sales. If anyone were interested in trading, I have purple coneflowers, gooseneck loosestrife, and pink obedient plant (none in bloom yet). I also can offer the following:

Iris with white standards, purple falls

Variegated hosta

Siberian Iris
