Here's what's opened since last time. TBs are past peak, but the JIs, pseudatas, and even a SPU are coming along.

'Tour de France' (great substance - short stalk)

'Distant Fire'

NOID

NOID was sold as 'Laced Cotton' (which it obviously isn't)

'Batik' (still kind of neat after all these years)
'Batik'

SIB seedling (parentage unknown - my sister collected the pods from an out of bloom SIB at a gas station years ago)
SIB Sdlg

NOID (I believe it's 'Persian Berry', but I don't know that)

'Fjord'

'Decadence' (incredibly beautiful, but hasn't grown well for me - a local friend says hers is a huge clump - one of the judges at our show kept saying "it's amazing it even opened with all that lace")
'Decadence'

'Voodoo Child' (sorry for the ugly photo, but timing hasn't been on my side when I get out to see this one (or most of the others))
'Voodoo Child'

'Rhythm King'

'Border Control'

'Affirmative'

'Shadow Warrior' (a new favorite)

'Awesome Possum'

'Winterfest' (pretty, large flowers, but after this stalk is gone I'll be back down to one fan again)
'Winterfest'

'Night Lady' (older than I am...lol)
'Night Lady'

'Night Lady' (really like the haft marks)
'Night Lady'

'Red Hot Lover' (doesn't look as recent as it is)
'Red Hot Lover'

'Hold My Hand' (one of the largest blooms in the garden again)
'Hold My Hand'

'Magnum Bordeaux' (faded more than I expected, but I still like it)
'Magnum Bordeaux'

'Glitterati' (like an old 'Decadence')
'Glitterati'

'Sue Bee' (OGB- AB - I don't see the aril in it myself - another I bought from the description alone)

Great shots, looks like you're getting a nice collection.

Thank-you. :)

There are some days I wish my collection had an end in sight, but not today. :) There are quite a few varieties M.I.A. on my list from the early days (before I valued names). So, the count isn't accurate but my have list's just below 600 varieties now and I expect it to increase by around 100 this year.

The wish list is at 2,244.....

I want to visit your garden!!! Double Wowee.

'Hold My Hand' looks like a winner for me. Similar to 'Decadence' ?? with less intense standards?

'Border Patrol' and 'Winterfest' also look scrumptous to this pastel-lover. Great ruffling on 'Winterfest'.

Got to get 'Shadow Warrior' and love the noid with rosey falls and standards with pale standards and cantaloupe styles.

Looks like 'Persian Berry' to me also.

I am in heaven! Beautiful pictures. I have Decadence too, and it didn't bloom last year, this year it only has one flower stalk on it. Very slow grower for me too. Why did I order more. I should just go to your garden and take pictures. It sure would be a lot less work, and I'm not getting any younger. :)

Awesome Possum really looks beautiful. I love that color.

Thanks everyone, I'm always happy to hear that people are enjoying the photos. It makes it all worthwhile.

I do in fact hope to become a display garden for my region and for the Median Iris Society in time. I had been hoping for 2010, but I'm just not happy with the layout of my garden right now and that means it will be at least another year before things settle in (once they're moved). Eventually...

I've even been harboring delusions of grandeur for an attempt at getting my club to host a national again. With that many eyes on my garden, I'd probably hate this layout! :)

iris_gal,

HMH is sort of a cream/tan with bishop's purple and DEC is more of a yellow/gold and ruby with a little purple to it. They do have a similar pattern, but HMH has a more blended fall band. They both have a place in my garden for as far as I can foresee.

Thanks Brock. Total delight to view your pics of iris I've never seen.

Good luck on getting a layout that pleases you. Very important!

Great, great pictures as usual. I especial like the fact that you comment on anything noteworthy like short stalks or poor grower. That is always good to know.

I just love Tour de France.
