Small Update

So, here's a few more photos from my gardens. The TBs are still blooming (2 yet to open maidens), but now I'm waiting for the pseudatas and JIs to start blooming. A few are repeats, because I've gotten better photos since. If I had a little self control, I'd wait until the season was over and only post the best...

'Celebration Song' (I may never give this one up - reliable (here) with excellent branching and bud count)
'Celebration Song'

'Sky And Sun' (getting older, but I still like it)

'Glitterai' (again)
'Glitterati'

'Suspicion' (the original was darker (which I liked more), but I lightened it to be more accurate)
'Suspicion'

'Working Man's Hero' (doesn't strike me like I'd like, but it's nice)
'Working Man's Hero'

'Sargent Preston' (again - I really like it)

'Voodoo Child' (again - hopefully you see an improvement from the last image, too)

'Vibrant Rose' (a new favorite in the MTBs - intense color)

Very pretty! I really like Voodoo Child and Suspicion. Celebration Song is a real bloomer here too.

RE: Small Update

I am not a great believer in self control. I say post pictures when things start blooming and then again as new and better blooms open up.

I am used to the daylily forum and thats how we do it. Lots and lots and lots of pictures going on there. Same for the roses forum and galleries, lots of pictures going on. Iris should be at least as popular as roses and daylilies so I don't know why this forum is not hopping.

I will just be getting into iris this year but next year if I have blooms, I will be posting. I love to see everyones elses pictures. All of yours here are lovely shots and I especially like Celebration Song.

Thanks guys! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying them.

Here's an update so small it won't even get it's own topic:

'Nut And Honey'
'Nut And Honey'

Apparently, if you tell Judy Hollingworth that your start of a plant didn't overwinter well, she grabs a shovel and digs a clump for you! I'm told, she's in her 70's, but you wouldn't believe that if you were holding her birth certificate! Some of you might remember 'Swans In Flight' from my 07 visit to their garden. It looks like this as a mature clump (upper left of the shot) and it looks like the photo below when it continues to bloom mid transplant.
