I love Tennessee Gentleman in the top photo with the vy dark iris --- excel combo. And your next photo of the lavenders, pinks, bitone and a dk purple is making me re-think my pastel bed. Totally gorgeous! You've done a great job.

I feel like I should clarify - I've been working along with many members of my club for the last two years and others were doing it long before me. I've only weeded, dug (for our sale), and replanted (a small few) in my involvement. The beds were put in long before I came along and I don't want anyone to think I was taking the credit for them. It was just so nice to finally see things in bloom for once. BTW here (top of the page) is a shot from the roof of a building they put in a few years ago during bloom season (again before I was ever a part of it all).

Oh my goodness. I don't even LIKE pastels and purples and that second photo has swept me off my feet. Those orchids and blues are just stunning together. Do you happen to know what the orchid/pink colored iris is? I am in awe!

Hi hosenemesis, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you and I'm even sorrier to say that I don't know the name of that orchid/pink. I'm going to miss the next zoo care (going to a show), so I can't get out there and check for you either. I wish I could have helped.

Well, it took me this long to find this thread again. I'm going to try Jennifer Rebecca and see how orchid-pink that looks. Thanks anyway! |

Oh geez, all those bed shots are amazing. The second one with the purples, pinks and pastels just stops me in my tracks. Wonderful iris, just wonderful. Thanks for posting these.
