Another Pseudata

I finally applied myself and caught up with my photos, so here's what's new:

'Okagami' (another breathtaking pseudata)

Another view of 'Kinshikou'

'Gasconade River' (Spuria - had 7 buds/stalk last year, but it was transplanted last fall, so has 4 this year)

'Black Gamecock' (the division I gave my neighbor's blooming again, but mine took yet another year off)

Here's that seedling from Chuck Bunnell again. It started out without the purple fall wash (left) and the purple got more intense as the season went on (right - this is why I pleaded to rescue a piece). It really is the same iris...

'Purple Serenade' (not as boring as I thought, now that I've seen the way the fading progresses)

'Jack's Pick' (just closed it's last bloom today, making it the last bearded iris of my ("Spring")'09 season)

This one's for you Rita. :) Daylilies are an eventuality in my collections, but I don't have many yet. I keep thinking I'll work on that collection once I get this "iris thing" under control! There is a wishlist going, though.

Anyone know what this is? It came up on the edge of the driveway and I love it (pink and all). It's a little over 2' tall and is very thin/wiry (about 4" across at the base).

This one came up beside my old garage, where I had a flat of violas ( 2 years ago)

So, I did some searching and found out the pink wildflower is called Deptford Pink. Guess who will be watching for Deptford Pink seeds later on...

Hi Brock, that Black Gamecock sure hits you right between the eyes. Purple Serenade is sure shaping up too.

Okagami is beautiful, and Kinshikou is amazing, totally awesome! I have seen a few Deptford Pink here before and will have to watch for them. I did plant 3 spuria this year, but right now they don't look so good. I am hoping they just are dormant and not dead. They really looked good when I planted them. If they die then it is something that I did wrong. Guess I will know by this fall. Still like that Purple Serenade.
