That ITS is beautiful! The photos on DG don't do it justice. Noticing you're smitten by the Blyth family's creations as well, is that 'Palace Gossip' behind it?

GL has been on my list for years, but I want it more, now.

Thank-you for sharing even more. I sure wish we could get more active growers like you and the few other die hards here. :)

Thank you Sylviatexas. I love all of them!

Brock, yes that is Palace Gossip. Gypsy Lord is doing fabulous, has bloomed every year so far. I have a lot of Blyth irises. Some of them do really well, and some only bloom every 2-3 years. I have added a few new Blyth's this year, and a lot of Keith Keppel's. I can hardly wait until next May for them to bloom (hopefully).

Thanks Shadow. T. Johnson & P. Black seem to be moving into some great looking iris (IMO) ~~~ seems that hybridizers hit a stride. Maybe it's their move to Oregon that did it!

I had the front tree removed and some clay while they were at it. So I'm happily digging that area and what does a shovelful of soil bring up but a gopher! Shocked me, and the cat! She chased him/her up the street. Hoped I'd seen the last of those critters. Now I don't feel so bad about not ordering this year. And maybe I've disrupted the tunnel to the side bed where they so happily ate my new ones 2 years ago. Along with every non-daffodil bulb!

In The Stars is even prettier than Magharee! Wow, and Gypsy Lord is just a stunner.

I am a Johnson/Black person. Quite often an iris I just adore is one of Black's.
