Iris Bloom Time in Michigan

I live in Michigan, on the west side of the state, near Grand Rapids. It is zone 5. I am thinking of trying some bearded iris. But this is my concern. I almost always leave town to visit friends and family for about 10 days around May 25 - June 5. Does anyone have an idea of what approximate early, middle, and late bloom times for Iris in zone 5 Michigan would be? I would hate to plant them and then be absent. Thank you.

i live just outside Windsor Ontario and my irises start around mid-may and go well into june, i'm in zone 6 so i would imagine that yours should start shortly after mine, like a week or 2 later. If you got a bunch of late season bloomers than you wouldn't have to worry about missing them, even mid-season irises should be blooming when you get home.
