Iris 'Ovation'

I lost my plant of Ovation and would like to replace it. If you know of a source or have one you would like to sell, please email me. Ovation was introduced by Chet Tompkins back in 1968. In spite of all of the improvements in the genus, I have never seen a prettier or more eyecatching pink in the garden.
Thanks,
Karen

Thanks for pointing out a nice looking pink. I searched the web and found it at Blue J, Wildwood and a few more

Karen, many years ago I too thought Ovation was eye-catching. But eventually I found many pinks I thought had improvements. Ovation was low on bud count for me. Here’s a new iris I saw this past spring on a tour in Fresno which I think exhibits the strong pink coloring like Ovation did, and the hybridizer says it is a rebloomer for him as well. Many pinks have blends with white or cream in the throat, this one, Peggy Sue, blends with it’s darker pink/red beard in the throat, much like Ovation.

My gosh, kittyl, your Peggy Sue is gorgeous. Can you recommend a grower for purchase? I'm putting together an iris and rose garden of pinks and blues. This would be a lovely choice, and the big bonus - it's a rebloomer!
