 o
moving iris now?

My iris have already sprouted about 3 inches. I would like to move them to a new location. It's probably not the best time, but can I pull it off? Not sure what variety.

In the 9 years in our NJ home they have never bloomed. They were planted by the previous owner. Every year I intend to move them and then forget!

Thanks for any suggestions

RE: moving iris now?

Since they have never bloomed you won't be losing blooms which is the main reason to transplant later (after bloom).

You may get bloom next year by moving them now. As long as freezing temps are finished! If your nights are up to 40 degrees do it :-)
