Many bearded iris don't seem to bloom reliably for me in this zone. Lately I have seen rebloomers that bloom really early (now, in March) and the plants have great substance. What iris am I seeing?

    There are reblooming beardeds.

Are your iris in full sun with good drainage? And planted with the tops of the rhizomes showing? Is your soil reasonably fertile. The only thing I can think of is frequent division often causes them to skip a year. Very overgrown clumps also show reduced blooming. The TBs that skip a year of bloom are very few. Beardeds grow in all but the worst tropical climates.
