Stunning! Ruffled and velvety - I'd love to have one in my garden. Maybe this weekend when I go "iris hunting" to the iris farm. And the name of it makes me smile :).

This really is a great iris, and a good rebloomer for me. I have several reblooming iris, but not many that really rebloom here. Lots of purple/blue iris out there, but this is one worth having.

Going on the list. Wasn't sure that I liked it but after seeing your pictures I've changed my mind.

It's really beautiful! I have this iris but unfortunately it didn't do well for me over the winter. The rhizome ended up with some rot. I scraped out all the soft matter and it's drying out now. The roots still look good and it does still have shoots so hopefully it will make it........

My second to bloom--it's putting on a show right now! Congrats on getting the color: this iris just glows in person, and I've found it really difficult to capture that vivid purple in my photos. It's a beautiful iris!

Sounds like your iris should make it sunnyjay. Daughter of Stars isn't one of those picky ones, & sounds like yours still has plenty of life.
