Wow! Beautiful Irises! How long have you been growing the irises? I'm a newbie, I have one for about 3-year now. But I planted 12 this fall only five sprouted, because I planted too deeply.

Love the Bewilderbeast. here is a black that took several years to finally produce.

Ladyrose, I've been growing them about 5 years now. You are right. They won't bloom if the rhizome isn't uncovered.

Tex, that is one gorgeous iris!

Thank you for posting these!

Have you been trading with New York Rita :-)

I've never seen 'Designing Woman' look as red. Is it possibly 'Lady Friend'?

RE: Iris are Blooming Pretty Well

Thanks, Iris Gal, of course, you are right, it is Lady Friend. No, I haven't traded with Rita, she has sent me the iris I call Rita's iris, and she has sent me some daylilies, and I did send her one daylily that I had gotten from Phil Korth, but she did not like the iris, so I told her to send it to me, and she did so.

This is supposed to be Octoberfest:

What a gorgeous 'Oktoberfest'!

Your bitone noid looked a lot like Barry Blyth's iris so I searched what was tagged blyth. The closest one of his was 'Pass The Wine'. Pictures showed it as ecru, peach, lavender or pink. Cameras!!!

I'm not acquainted with iris in these colors. Sorry. Shall keep an eye out. So tantalizing.

Oh, are you the quilter of those fantastic creations? Each one was a knockout!

I really love Socialist. The bitones are so pretty. Your clump of Backdraft is spectacular!
