Small Irises

Hi, I have some questions about my Irises and found this forum. Maybe you guys can answer them for me :) I have several iris beds in my yard. My husband has been mowing them down and now the rhizomes are really small and the shoots are small. I was wondering how long it will take them to grow to blooming size. I am taking care with them this year. I am cleaning the grass out of the beds and thinning them out some. How long till I have blooms again :(

Estimating on the conservative side 3 years.

More likely to be less. Much depends on how vigorous the cultivar is. If you're in a really cold winter zone you could have bloom this year. Good luck.
