Gardening people are a super nice group of people. I visit a couple of forums and have always been overwhelmed by how generous gardeners are.

Last fall I commented on someone's Happenstance iris, asking what kind of pink, etc. I too received an offer for some, free of charge no reciprocation necessary. Long story short, I did see a package until October. The wonderful lady's husband had been ill and she had forgotten to send the package.

I'll have to find her name in my email and touch base with her. Thanks for making me think of her.

I wrote her a thank you note and sent her a check for the postage as she included some Mt. Hood daffodils too!

I commented on some heart-stoppingly beautiful photos with gorgeous iris and other plants. I was offered the iris I loved (no charge) and was sent that iris and two others by that generous gardener.

I feel that people who like to garden truly have an interest in living things and that interest is made better by sharing pictures, experiences and yes, even plants. Planting something, taking care of it and being rewarded with lots of blooms isn't for everyone but it is for me! I love this forum and am so happy that I found it last year. It's great to communicate with others that share the same passion.
