So I recently started my iris obsession 2 years ago and went to the Hondo iris farm in NM and bought three plants! I am so excited because they are all blooming for the first time this year! They have been through freezing rain, snow, hail, high winds and very low temperatures this month. I was so worried that they would be destroyed and I wouldn't get to see them bloom, but they have been very tough. Every collection has to start somewhere and I started with these:

"Banana Frappe"

No ID? I stepped out this morning, only to be very surprised that this wasn't the flower I had thought I purchased. It was supposed to be 'Gypsy Romance' but it's not. Look familiar to anyone?

And last but not least "Warrior King" I'm hoping it will open tomorrow!

I will be adding a couple more irises to my collection this month too! More updates soon....
