| i have been collecting grandmother's iris - her house sold and i spoke to the new owner - telling him what i was looking for - later in the summer he called to say that he had found what he thought was an iris - in a grown up area a little iris - two inches tall - we gave it a bit of water and a tiny bit of food - cleared out around it - and dug up a clod of dirt about a foot square - first year in my garden, no growth - last year, grew to about five inches, this year grew to about eighteen inches - and next year, Maybe A Bloom !!
