I received a small Phalaenopsis iris.
I am not familiar with a Phalaenopsis iris. Per Wikipedia, "Phalaenopsis Blume (1825), abbreviated Phal in the horticultural trade,[1] is an orchid genus of approximately 60 species."

If it is an orchid, cut it back underneath the flower, or in this case I would cut it back to the green. It might shoot out new blooms in a month or 2. If it doesn't flower or the flower spike browns completely, cut it all back to the base of the plant.
