I looked at your iris and at SL and SA. SA has the pure white around the beard while yours has the purplish veins the SL has. Maybe theirs was mislabeled? Marg

Thanks Marg, so hard to tell from pictures, isn't it, whether the white is from reflecting light. That is why I was asking for the best source, from someone who actually has it. I looked at several sites, & couldn't decide. Then I found this photo, it looks like it has the veining like mine when you do a close up. Even the shape looks the same, but if SA is pure white, then mine isn't SA. I'll just have to wait & find out this summer. I wouldn't think they would have it mislabeled in the garden, but always possible.

It looks like Speeding Again to me. The form is right, and the white is the right size. I would label it with a question mark, but I'm pretty sure it's SA.

Renee, if it weren't for the possibility that someone brought it from their home garden, I would say it would have to be SA. Of course, it is possibly they have it mislabeled. At the worst I will know next year when it blooms in their garden, but I should have a good idea in June or July when I talk to the person who keeps records. Hopefully they really keep records as well as I am told.
