Containers for charity sale?

When I divide my TBI this year, I would like to plant the "babies" in individual containers so my Sunday school class can sell them next spring to benefit the local food pantry. My question is: would it be better to pot them up in greenhouse plastic bulb pots (more expensive) or would it be OK to use foil loaf pans with holes punched in the bottom? I have a friend who said her husband once failed to get a gift of TBIs planted, but by spring the paper bag of rhizomes had foliage poking out of it. Naturally, I'm hoping the cheaper solution will work. Any thoughts?
