 o
will these bulbs live?

I received some iris bulbs from a friend who dug them up shortly after they bloomed and laid them aside for several weeks. I know that this is not ideal and the leaved browned shortly after I covered them with dirt in a pot until I could get to them. Will they bloom again? I don't want to waste my time planting them if they won't. Should I dig them up and store them since the leaves are completely browned? Thanks for any help you can give!

Are they bulb irises or tall bearded iris rhizomes?
If they are tall bearded iris rhizomes, you can cut off the dead leaves and plant them now. Unless they are reblooming varieties it is unlikely they will bloom again this year, but they will probably bloom next year.

Take a look at the FAQ page here to see how to plant iris rhizomes. They should not be completely buried in dirt.
