Moomba is one my wife and I picked out from Bill Maryotts (now defunct) San Jose garden some 17 years ago. Somehow it has lasted all these years in my parking strip even though it is not a strong grower, in fact I was not sure I still had it until the bloom yesterday... Of the dozen or so we bought from Bill that year it is the only one I still have due to my relentless culling :)
Love seeing the 'clump' shots. So often I fall in love with a single bloom and later see a group --- not so hot. "Gitano" looks like its great as a group.
Two of my very very favorite irises of all time: Walking on Air and Wonders Never Cease. I will probably have to wait until next year to see WOA bloom- it has no stalks. I'm getting WNC soon, so maybe next year! Nice foxgloves, too. Renee
