How to use Iris in floral arrangements

I tried to find/search for posts to see how people use the large Bearded Irises in floral arrangements. I cut quite a few stems (cuz I never get around to staking my Iris), and didn't know what to place in the vase along with them. I ended up using the flower stems of goutweed and stems of hydrangea buds, but I'm sure there are better solutions.
