| We were given this iris a number of years ago and were told it's a "walking iris" however I have my doubts. The root system is pretty distinctive but I cant't seem to find any pictures of similar iris via Google. |

| Thanks for the response. It does appear to be L iris. It hasn't bloomed in its current location (wet clay) but in the past in a drier spot it had purple flowers. I'll add some fertilizer and see what happens. Sorry about the double post. For some reason I couldn't put two photos on the same post. |

| SquireJohn ~ if you do a google search on walking iris you will see bloom pics. Their bloom is quite different than a Louisiana's. When I'm putting in more than 2 pics I use a Wordpad doc. to paste into first, then I copy the completed message and paste it into this message box. |
