Iris ID Please

We were given this iris a number of years ago and were told it's a "walking iris" however I have my doubts. The root system is pretty distinctive but I cant't seem to find any pictures of similar iris via Google.

Have they bloomed for you?

RE: Iris ID Please

It looks like Louisiana iris to me. What color is the flower?

RE: Iris ID Please

Thanks for the response. It does appear to be L iris. It hasn't bloomed in its current location (wet clay) but in the past in a drier spot it had purple flowers. I'll add some fertilizer and see what happens.
Sorry about the double post. For some reason I couldn't put two photos on the same post.

RE: Iris ID Please

SquireJohn ~ if you do a google search on walking iris you will see bloom pics. Their bloom is quite different than a Louisiana's.

When I'm putting in more than 2 pics I use a Wordpad doc. to paste into first, then I copy the completed message and paste it into this message box.
