| Thanks for the head's up! I'll just state my question here- IF that's ok! I have two man made fish ponds, approz 10x10 each. They are FULL (very little water/space left in them) of a beautiful mauve pink iris w/ a yellow throat. I love this iris...but I will NOT put it in our creek or our farm ponds because I have seen what it does... So, I was wondering if I could just plant some of them in our heavy red clay soil and keep them watered...Is there a way to keep them w/ out introducing them into our natural water ways??? Any suggestions, ideas, thoughts?...thanks QB |

| If they are Louisiana irises they will grow just fine in your clay soil as long as you keep it moist. I think they look wonderful on the banks of a pond. Renee |
