My first ever iris bloom!!! :-)

Hello everyone,

I came home this evening and saw the first ever iris bloom in my yard! I planted this Salonique that I got from my local nursery last year, and it's just as pretty as the photo on the tag!!! I think I might be addicted to irises now... :-)

I apologize for not taking any photo as it was rainy and a bit dark this evening, so I did not take my camera out... I will do that as soon as the weather permits!

BTW, I have not been able to find much information about Salonique. Does anyone have more information on it please?

It's a thrill, isn't it? I'm new with them, too. I'm trying to have groups of them with other perennials and roses, don't have a bed dedicated to them.

That's exciting--I know the feeling, and I'm happy to say you'll feel just about the same way every spring if you plant more.

I'm anxiously waiting to see a pic.

You're right. There isn't much to be found on the net for Salonique. There were several pics though under Google images.
