Yes, the combination! That peony is exactly what peonies should be. Thanks for posting the photo. I get my peony fix on Gardenweb. Renee

I looked up coastal mist and it shows the falls as being almost white. this iris has standards and falls of the same color. It's a very heavy bloomer. PS - for peony pics, check out this album of mine: Thanks for trying!

gottagarden: I looked at your peony page and they're awesome! They look great along the laneway. Congrats on a job well done. I love the peony with the blue and white iris. I noticed your Karl Rosenfeldt was also dark. Mine has always been more dark pink. This year it has turned dark like yours. Hope it stays that way. Marg

Yes!! You are so amazing, iris gal! I remembered this iris as "coda" but google searching showed me that no iris "coda" existed. I guess my memory is dropping things, because the full name is codicil. thanks!

Sorry to rain on the parade, but that's definitely not Codicil. Codicil's most prominent feature is its very dark navy blue beards, which your iris doesn't have. It's possible that whoever you got it from thought it was Codicil, but unfortunately it's not. See link below - it's a pretty common iris, so there are lots of pictures out on the web.
