Does the second bloom on reblooming iris bloom on the original stock or will a new stock grow with new blooms late in the summer?
It will bloom on a new stem, so you can go ahead and totally cut back the old one.

Not all irises that are labeled rebloomers, will reliably rebloom in all zones you know though. Some will more than others though.

I have bought from a local Iris Farm, and on their pricing list, the Seller only lists rebloomers, if they have reliably rebloomed for her. That sort of assures me that there is a really good chance they will also rebloom in my garden then too.

Thank you Sue! I am falling in love with these bulbs! My blooms are at least 6" in diameter! One is so big and plentiful, I have to stake the stalk! I'll have to wait and see if they rebloom. I really hope so as they are so pretty. I also love getting as much value from a plant as possible! I never though of looking for local farms for specific plants. I'll check out what's around Montreal! Tks for the tip!
