how did i miss the link

no one discussed simply cutting down the leaves now.. like any new transplant.. and how about.. then spraying with 10% bleach???

I think you have probably gotten rid of it if you removed the affected leaves. I am cutting the affected irises that have already bloomed right to the ground to remove all of the bad foliage. I don't know if bleach does anything to kill the leaf spot- so I don't think you should bother. If it returns next year you could try a fungicide.

I imagine cleaning the pruners is prudent (I have so much this year I don't think it would help me).

Iris leaf spot appears some years and other years not at all. It's never fatal.

If it really bothers you, at the first sign spray with a fungicide (not bleach). You will need to follow-up spray to keep the unaffected leaves innoculated.

I do not sterilize my pruners and have not noticed any repercussions.
