| Well, I finally broke down today and ordered some irises. The Schreiner's sale catalog got here today-- what could I do?
Out of all of those spectacular, unbelieveably ruffled, color-washed, laced beauties I picked the following:
1. Feed Back
2. Violet Turner
3. Mariposa Autumn
4. Maria Tormena
5. Tennison Ridge
and oooooooh! not on sale but all of ten bucks!
6. Victoria Falls
I know, I know. My fundamentally conservative superego had me buying all tried-and-true rebloomers.
Sorry the list is so dull. I'm reintroducting blues and violets into my garden this year after an ill-thought out attempt to make all the colors go together last year.
What actually got me to order was the bonus iris: No Count Blues. I had been drooling over Walking on Air,

These rebloomers will help make the twelve months of non-stop gardening chores here in Socal worth the effort.
I'll try to post photos of clump shots of any Schreiner's sale irises that I have in the yard over on the gallery side (some may be repeats, sorry).
