I don't think they are getting enough sun. I'm in Southern California, and my irises don't bloom if they don't get at least 6 hours of sun a day.

Thistle, sometimes beardeds will take 2-4 years to settle in!

Low nitrogen fertilizer only. Sun as Renee says. Tops of rhizomes exposed. Allow soil to dry out between soaks!

You will probably have gorgeous bloom next season.

Sorry Iris Gal,I have no idea what the names of the Iris are.My Son inherited them with his property.They are a beautiful blue colour,but that's all I can say about them.
If in the event I have planted them too deeply when would be the best time to relocate them?

I would say right now Thistle. Ontario's winter probably drops hints late Aug.? so as much growing time as possible before then.

Thanks again iris gal, I will take your advice and get them moved somewhere with more sun and not so deep.
