| I love red irises. My very favorite iris is red- 'Ecstatic Echo'. I just ordered a historic red amoena, 'Repartee' and the rusty maroon and yellow 'Tropical Butterfly'.
Do you have any red irises? Any favorites?

| I have more than a few on order Renee. And the ones I have haven't bloomed yet. But I can tell you that Ernie from Echo Iris Gardens said that the most beautiful red iris by far that he grows is Red Polish. I ordered it based on that, and his picture of it is just smashing. | The only thing that is like a red that I have is Burst of Glory, a Jedlicka intro that I got as an extra. It is pretty vigorous, but tends to rusty red in my garden. It gets the most ooh's and ah's when it is blooming, but maybe because it was right by the sidewalk and so big and in your face when you walk by. I think I tend to like the ones that get to red from the red-purple direction. I saw Danielle's Love at the Jedlicka's, and it was really pretty I thought, but I guess it is more of a red-violet. |
