Almost any iris can throw a bloom stalk out of season on occasion, there are historic rebloomers too. Perhaps yours was stimulated by the move and likely increase in fertilizer/watering to settle it in.

I was wondering about that chadinlg, I thought maybe it was just a "fluke". I did talk to my neighbor that I originally got the iris from and she said that they would occasionally bloom more than once a season.
